SF₆ (sulfur hexafluoride) gas is an inert, odorless, and colorless gas. Its high stability is based on the perfect symmetrical arrangement of its six fluorine atoms around its central sulfur atom.

SF6 gas is widely used in metal-enclosed substations (PSEM, also known by their English name GIS).

It ensures proper functioning, optimal performance and safety for high voltage equipment.
